Enphase: 8 Hot Tips For Installing Enphase
TIP 1:
Activate and register your system on or before the day of your installation BENEFIT: Allows for an even faster installation on site - complete 40% of the activation before you even begin the installation!
TIP 2:
Upgrade you Envoy before your installation begins. BENEFIT: Ensures that you are getting the latest firmware for your Enphase installation. An upgrade occurs automatically when the Envoy is connected to the internet for the first time. This process can take up to 15 minutes
TIP 3:
Install your Envoy on a dedicated circuit on the same switchboard as the Enphase system is connected to. BENEFIT: Maximises the communications signal strength between the Envoy and the Microinverters. A minimum of 3 bars is required to complete stage 3 of the activation.
TIP 4:
Save a copy of your installation map on Enlighten. BENEFIT: Stores all your system layout documentation in a convenient location that's at your fingertips
TIP 5:
Make sure you set the grid profile during System Activation to AS4777. BENEFIT: Ensures seamless startup of your Enphase System Installation
TIP 6:
Connect the Envoy to the Internet with a pair of Enphase Ethernet Bridges, instead of installing a data cable. BENEFIT: Saves money and time to use the Ethernet Bridges between the Envoy and the System Owner's router/modem
TIP 7:
Use the Enphase USB Wi-Fi Adaptor for you Envoy internet connection to the customer's wireless router. BENEFIT: Simplifies the process of connecting the Envoy to the internet via Wi-Fi. NOTE: The Envoy requires firmware version 3.9 or later to support Wi-Fi
TIP 8:
Always check your colour coding of the three-phase Engage cabling before powering up your Enphase installation. Enphase three-phase cabling colour coding: Actives:Brown/Black/GreyNeutral:BlueEarth:Green/Yellow. BENEFIT: Wiring is completed to Enphase recommendations.
