Delta Announces AC Max 22KW EV Charger

Delta Announces AC Max 22KW EV Charger

Delta, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions and a long-time partner of YHI Energy, announced the launch of a new product to further support the e-mobility revolution, the 22kW AC Max EV Charger. The most exciting feature of Delta’s newest creation is the ISO15118 compatibility. Utilising the OCPP communication protocol with a back-end management system, the device can not only transmit charging session information and allow full control and manageability (this is currently available on the AC Mini Plus and DC Wallbox range), but this new standard allows information sharing from the vehicle back through to the management system. Information such as vehicle identity will eliminate the requirement for access cards or apps, resulting in a seamless driver experience.

Further to this, battery state of charge information will be automatically delivered to the management system, which will be a valuable contribution to allow accurate scheduling and prioritization of charging sessions and eventually,  result in an intuitive approach to the EV being ready to go, whenever required.  This innovative wall-mount EV charger boasts a 3-phase, 22kW output in a compact, lightweight footprint and provides wall/pedestal installation, bottom-fed and rear-fed wiring options, IP55 protection against dust and water, and IK08 protection against impact.

The Delta AC Max 22kW EV Charging station will be available from YHI in Q2, 2020. For more information talk to your account manager or contact us today at ev@yhi.co.nz.
